Why is the cost so low?

We want your agency to use dbaPlatform as a value-add or an upsell so we've priced it accordingly. When using all of our tools together, we're confident you will have a local SEO powerhouse. 

Do you only work with agency accounts?

No way! dbaPlatform works with accounts who manage one location and accounts who manage one hundred thousand. Our system can be used for franchises and large brands as well. Our software is geared to make management of a mass amount of locations easy.

I am not an agency but I have a lot of locations, will dba work with my brand directly?

Yes, our software is geared to make management of a mass amount of locations easy and lucrative. It can be used for franchises as well.

Does it work? Can you prove it?

Yes, and we can prove it! Clients have used our dashboard to manage multiple locations which has led to overall improvement in all categories like discovery impressions, direct impressions, photo views, listing views, and most importantly website visits, calls, and driving direction requests. Will you contact my clients?

Nope! We will brand your reports to fit your agency (white label) and they will never know it's coming from dbaPlatform, though. Even then, the only way this will happen is if you turn on reporting and configure it to send to your clients, via email. 

How can dba help a business to grow?

dbaPlatform is fully integrated with Google My Business. Google controlls 86% of the worlds search traffic and 96% of mobile search. This is where customers are looking for businesses. Customers engage in 4 types of action moments: know, go, do, and buy. Why don't we optimize for other platforms like Facebook?

We perfected a software that offers tools fully integrated with Google to generate more customers for your business on the number one search site in the world. Also, our LocalListings tool will absolutely help your listings to stay optimized and clean on other websites like Facebook.

I just got the new Agency Dashboard for Google My Business; will dba work with that?

Yes! dbaPlatform works seamlessly with the new Agency Dashboard (AKA Business Accounts, AKA Organization Accounts).

Will dba work with preferred Google Partners?

Yes! We are Google Partners as well and we are more than happy to help other Google Partners out with this new dashboard.

What’s the maximum number of accounts that can be uploaded?

There’s currently no minimum and no maximum number of accounts. Upload as many as you please :) 

What is the price for dbaPlatform?

dbaPlatform pricing is super simple. The core tools are $1 per location, per month if you sign up for one year of service, and $2 per location, per month if you’d like to remain on a month-to-month plan.
Other tools, like Call Tracking, SMS/MMS Campaigns, Pro Services and our Local Listings product have very competitive pricing with discounts for annual commitments. You can learn more about dbaPlatform pricing here.

Is the dbaPlatform still effective for Google My Business if it is used for a single location rather than multiple locations?

Yes! Even if your business only has one location our portal can drastically cut down the time it takes to manage your business listing. For example, our post and photo tools can allow you to schedule out weekly content for the entire year in just one sitting, instead of having to come back to the Google My Business listing weekly.

 

Pricing

Do I have to lock-in to a long contract?

No way! Licensing is sold on a month-to-month or annual basis for each product that we offer. If you prefer to have a multi-year agreement we can absolutely offer this as well. 

As an agency or large organization with multiple users, do I need to buy multiple user licenses or multiple seats?

Nope! dbaPlatform can have as many users for your agency as you see fit, and we do not charge for seats. Licenses are sold on a per product and per location basis, so if you have multiple locations that would like to purchase multiple products, then you will need to buy licenses for each one of those locations and products. Licensing is sold on a month-to-month or annual basis for each product that we offer. 

I run the marketing for a franchise model business, I’d like to use dbaPlatform, how would that work?

Simple! Just create a login, upload your locations, and create one client for all franchise locations. You can also “tag” your locations for a more specific grouping option (e.g. the Domino's Pizza locations in North Carolina are all tagged as “NC”). It’s also worth mentioning that dbaPlatform is the only tool on the market that allows franchises to create Posts on Google in bulk! Pretty cool, right?!

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds because the product can be cancelled at any time. (We’re not monsters though! Obviously if there was some sort of legitimate problem, that's a different story.)

Do you offer a white label version of dbaPlatform?

Yep! All of our reports are white labeled and focused on your agency’s brand, so you will easily be able to send custom reports their way at whatever interval you see fit and they’ll never know it’s coming from dbaPlatform. In addition to PDF reports, we even offer embeddable URL’s for our reports at no additional cost, so your agency will be able to simply provide your client with a link at any time. We do not offer white label pricing with the ability to set rates of your choosing, however, but this is a feature that we are considering for the future. 

Do you offer discounts for multiple products?

We offer discounts of 50% on annual agreements. We do not have any kind of “bundled” products.

Is there a penalty for early cancellation?

Licensing is either purchased on a month-to-month basis or on an annual basis. Annual contracts are billed monthly, and enjoy a 50% discount on pricing. Early termination from an annual agreement will cause the remainder of your agreement to become due immediately.

How do you handle my credit card info?

All credit cards are processed by Stripe. They have the same security measures banks use for your information. You only need to enter your information once.

Can you invoice us?

For agencies with more than 5,000 locations, we're happy to send an invoice. 

Can I re-sell dbaPlatform?

Yes! As an agency, we highly recommend you offer our platform to your clients as managed local SEO services. 

In addition to the full slate of local SEO automation features each of our tools offer, all of our reporting features are completely focused on your agency’s brand, so you will easily be able to send custom reports their way at whatever interval you see fit and they’ll never know it’s coming from dbaPlatform. In addition to PDF reports, we even offer embeddable URL’s for our reports at no additional cost, so your agency will be able to simply provide your client with a link at any time. 

Most of our agency clients offer their Local SEO services from anywhere between $199 and $500 per location, per month and they utilize the full suite of dbaPlatform tools. You’re more than welcome to handle client pricing in whatever fashion works best for you. 

What about dbaPlatform Pro Services? Can I re-sell those?

Yes, of course! We are happy to work directly with your agency contact to ensure maximum efficiency for everyone, or we can even be a “silent partner” as you build a local SEO service in your city. 

One dollar? What's the catch?

No catch! We designed dbaPlatform to be a powerful value-add or an upsell to an agencies client-base. Our team comes from the agency-realm and we understand the value of a SaaS like dbaPlatform. Don't be shy, just tell your clients about the upcharge they will be cool with it because your time is valuable. 

Will billing continue even if I'm not using the account?

Yes. We will continue to generate your bill every month even if you aren't actively using your account.

Do you have plans for startup agencies?

dbaPlatform software is ready to go for any size of agency or business and can be branded to integrate fully with your startup.

When will I be billed?

Billing starts on the date that you activate a license and recurs on the same day each month. Adding additional licenses for the same client will keep the original license activation date in-tact to avoid too many charges on your credit card. 

 

Photos

What is EXIF Data?

Descriptive data (meta data) in an image file that includes the date the photo was taken, description of the photo, location of the photo, descriptive comment of the photo, and more.

Why are photos so important on Google My Business?

Google’s main goal is for the digital world to replicate the real world. Having high quality photos on a Google My Business profile that show the interior and exterior of your business or that showcase the personality of your employees are great ways to achieve this. Photos are also very effective in building trust with potential customers. Google recognizes this and rewards businesses who add great photos compared to businesses who do not.

Can dba help with my photo authenticity?

Absolutely, the beauty of our photo tool is that with the click of a button you can input the story of the image. This allows Google to read the footprint of your image.

What are the best practices for the frequency of photo/post uploads?

Google encourages weekly posting as that is the timeframe that a normal post will expire. We follow a weekly schedule for that reason.

Are stock images fine or are actual pictures from clients necessary?

It is always better to use your own images rather than stock images. Google can recognize stock images because they have been used on many websites. This means that Google has already associated information with the photo which does not always support the information for your business.

How Important are 360° Views of local businesses in Google My Business for ranking?

There is no direct ranking benefit to adding a 360° view onto your Google listing. What it does do is potentially increase the engagement on the listing, which is a ranking factor. 360° views can make a difference for user trust however. If highlighting a new office or location is the difference in getting new customers, then it may be worth the investment.

What type of Google Posts are best?

There's not a single answer to what type of Posts work best for Google My Business, but research shows taking a "less is more" approach will work in most cases. Here's a 1-minute video on why: 

 

How do I schedule Posts for Large Brands and Posts for Franchise Brands on Google My Business?

To schedule Google Posts for large brands and Posts for Franchise Brands in 2019 is now possible thanks to dbaPlatform. Here's a quick overview of how to schedule Posts using dbaPlatform: 

 

Can I schedule posts in the Google My Business dashboard?

Google does not allow administrators to schedule Posts into the future. dbaPlatform does, though! Not only that, but you can also schedule posts for multiple locations in one click.

How long are Google Posts visible for?

Posts in your Google My Business listing disappear after 7 days.

What call-to-actions are available in a post?

Buttons you can include in a post are Book, Order Online, Buy, Learn More, Sign Up, Get Offer, and Call Now.

Can you schedule a post to more than 10 GMB profiles at once?

Yes our platform was designed for businesses with multiple locations and large brands. Our post, photo, and review tools allow you to manage content for multiple profiles from within a single dashboard.

Is posting to Google My Business through a platform like dbaPlatform viewed the same way by Google as posting directly inside Google My Business?

Yes, this counts as the same. Information added through the Google API is equivalent to user added data through the dashboard.

Does sharing posts with Facebook or Twitter increase Google My Business ranking?

There is no direct ranking benefit to sharing posts with Facebook. Where it can help is that if people are coming from Facebook and going to your GMB listing. This increases engagement (clicks, views, reading reviews, etc.) on your listing which is a ranking factor. Similar to Facebook, getting more people to go to your GMB listing will increase engagement. However, Twitter has a special relationship with Google where Twitter posts get indexed extremely quickly. Since all Tweets are public, you can also use Twitter to feed data to the Google algorithm.

 

Reviews

Can you generate reviews for my clients?

Yes, we absolutely help with this process. Every client has the ability to generate a review link that will take the customer directly to there Google My Business page to prompt a review.

Does responding to reviews help my business listing show up more in search?

Yes, responding to reviews has a massive impact on the discovery of your business listing in search results.

Can you respond to reviews from the portal?

Yes, you can respond to reviews. Under your client's dashboard, you go to the review tool and import the reviews for that location. Once they are imported, you can then respond to them. There will be a checkmark next to each review you respond to.

What is the price for the dbaPlatform Reviews Tool?

What is the impact to respond to both positive & negative reviews?

Responding to all reviews is important because it shows engagement from the business owner that all customers are important. This helps build the trust with a potential customer reading the reviews and responses.

Do reviews in Google My Business with keywords help increase prominence in Google?

There is no evidence that using keywords in reviews leads to specific increase in ranking for those keywords. However, the more time a user spends and interacts with your listing (compared to competitors), the higher it will rank. In short, engagement is a ranking factor and if the reviews are lengthy and well written, people will interact with them more.

 

Call Tracking

What is the price for dbaPlatform Call Tracking?

dbaPlatform pricing for Call Tracking on local US phone numbers is $2 per location, per month if you sign up for one year of service, and $4 per location, per month if you’d like to remain on a month-to-month plan. This includes ownership of the phone number and 100 minutes per number, per month! After 100 minutes, the US-rate is one penny per minute. 

We know, “per minute” sounds like a wireless carrier from the late 90’s, but we’ve done the homework and it’s really the best possible option. If you’d prefer flat-rate pricing on minutes you’re welcome to contact us and we’ll set up a custom plan.

It’s important to remember the numbers are used for “inbound calls” only, so the minutes are not spent as quickly as you might think; in-fact the average location using dbaPlatform call tracking only uses about 250 minutes per month.

Can I keep the phone number I purchase from dbaPlatform if I cancel services? (Port Away from dbaPlatform)

Yes, of course! This will involve an account change or a port request (depending on where you’d like to send the number) and it will take a few days, but you can still receive calls during the time of porting. dbaPlatform uses a few carriers for voice services, mainly the Level3 Communications Network, Twilio, and Bandwidth. All call-tracking and messaging-related billing will continue until the port request is 100% complete, and there is a one-time charge of $29 USD per number to fulfill the request. If you have more than 100 numbers, please reach out ahead of-time and let us know because there’s a good chance we can lower the per-number disconnect fee. 

Can I set up my phone system for outbound calling with my Call Tracking number?

Yes, sort-of. We do not offer support for this and do not have plans to offer support in the future, but the numbers you purchase from dbaPlatform are enabled for both inbound and outbound calling. It’s important to remember the per minute pricing also applies for outbound calling as well.

What’s the average number of call-tracking minutes used for locations using dbaPlatform?

On average, locations using dbaPlatform Call Tracking use about 250 minutes each month. This equates to just $1.50 (because the first 100 minutes are free) for the minutes, plus the base cost for the product. 

Can I port my number into dbaPlatform to enable the Call Tracking tool?

Maybe. At this time, we do not offer this feature automatically, but please contact us to discuss your use-case.

Does dbaPlatform offer Call Tracking outside of the US?

Yes! We currently support all English-speaking Countries. Here’s a list of the countries we offer voice services for, along with a pricing table.

 

SMS/MMS Campaigns

How many people can I message in a single campaign?

As many as you’d like! Messages, however, are limited to sending one per second. Please contact us if you’d like to request an increase.

What is an MMS?

Picture messages! MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service.

Can I receive messages?

Not at this time. While your number is provisioned to accept inbound and outbound messages and we may offer this in the future, everything on the dbaPlatform is designed for outbound messaging only, at the moment. It's an ideal tool for getting your SMS and MMS campaign messages out to customers and fans of your brand. 

Do I pay for messages that are not received?

Nope! You only pay for messages that are sent successfully.

If I remove contacts from the MMS/SMS Campaigns feature, does the cost go down?

Yep! Your contacts will be auto-imported from calls after an automatic opt-in message is sent to ensure the contact wants to receive your messages (don't worry, you can customize this opt-in message to your liking).

As soon as you are ready to send a campaign, the total active contacts will be confirmed and the message will be sent. Contacts that are permanently stored in the SMSMMS Campaigns area of dbaPlatform can be manually removed, and the cost will go down. 

To see a reduction in your bill, the contacts count must be reduced for one full billing cycle leading up to your charge date. If you remove contacts in the middle of a billing cycle, you won't see a reduction in charges until after the next full billing cycle.

What happens if I exceed the number of sends in any given month?

If you exceed the number of SMS and/or MMS campaign sends allotted in a billing cycle, we'll automatically upgrade your pricing plan to one that meets the sending needs of your agency. You can see the US SMS/MMS Pricing Grid here.

Will billing on the SMS MMS Campaigns continue even if I'm not using the account?

Yes. Unless you cancel your active SMS/MMS Campaigns Licenses, we will continue to generate a bill every month even if you aren't using your alloted SMS/MMS allowances. You can see the US SMS/MMS Pricing Grid here.

What type of media can I send with MMS?

While most modern media types will work, we highly recommend sticking to .png, .jpg, .gif, .jepg and of course any optimized versions of imagery pulled directly from the Photo Tool Library within dbaPlatform. File size should be as small as possible to ensure delivery, and not exceed 3 mb. Video, audio and PDF will also be 'accepted', but we can not guarantee delivery or reformatting of the message.

What site does dbaPlatform match business categories from?

We match business categories from Google My Business.

How does dbaPlatform's Local Listings Tool help improve my search ranking?

While not a guarantee of improved search engine ranking, Local Listings ensures that your business directory information is consistent among listing sites.

What is the price for the dbaPlatform Local Listings Citation Tool?

What are the best practices for a business that is moving?

Make sure you update the address on all website pages, including any schema markup. Add a ‘we moved’ section to your home and contact page to let customers know. Update your GMB listing, create a post with a ‘we moved’ message. Update all citations & directories. You can do that easily with a service like dbaplatform.com (You will have to do the niche directories manually however.)

What are some Best Practices for Google My Business?

Responding to reviews, uploading new photos, adding a weekly post to communicate with your customers, make sure all the information on your listing is filled out, accurate, and is consistent across the web. Make sure you have a website linked to your profile.

How do map embeds influence Google My Business rankings?

If your map is embedded on a page with location and keyword filled content, the link to your listing through the map becomes associated with that data.

Does organic ranking affect Google My Business ranking?

The organic and maps algorithms are different. There is a lot of overlap, but I have seen many cases where rankings will go in opposite directions. The maps algorithm does take information from the associated website into account like the organic algorithm, but uses other factors as well.

How can you change Google My Business hours to "Appointment Only"

There is currently no option in Google My Business for an 'appointment only' option. There is however the ability to add an attribute of 'online appointments' that will show up prominently in the knowledge panel.

Does having a Google site within Google My Business help?

Creating a Google site from within your GMB dashboard is good idea since it is quick process. Once created, it acts as a separate site and can act as another citation source. However, choosing the Google site as the associated site in your GMB dashboard is not a good idea, unless you have no existing website. In most cases it is always better to use your own website in that field.

Is there a way to edit the Google my Business Knowledge Panel to add social profiles?

There is no way to directly edit the social profiles that show up in the Knowledge Panel. Social profiles are added automatically depending on factors like how confident the algorithm is that the profiles are for you business and posting frequency.

How do Google My Business subcategories influence search relevance?

The secondary categories do not have as much influence as the primary category. However it is important to choose as many categories as possible that match your business. The algorithm confirms the information it finds on the associated website with these categories and so it helps strengthen the rankings for the keywords associated with those categories. This can vary from listing-to-listing, however, so it's best to check competitor listings and do your research before, during and after category implementation.

Can Google My Business rankings be influenced by local press releases?

It depends. Press releases can help be used as a NAP citation and for backlinks. The quality of the press release site needs to be high as Google has mentioned that they ignore spammy press releases.

What signals can you send to Google listings that will indicate more trust (prominence)?

Most of the prominence factors come through from the website. Having a well optimized site, good title tags, pages for each service & location, main keywords on the home page. Backlinks to the site also will play a factor. Mentions and citations are also a good way to get the algorithm to ‘know’ that a business exists at a particular location. The more data the algorithm can accumulate about your NAP, the better.

Does adding a Q&A section to Google My Business affect optimization?

Keywords in the Q&A do not directly affect ranking. However, the more time a user spends clicking the features on your listing, the better the chance that the algorithm will be to display your listing due to this increased engagement. It also helps with user conversion as that section can be used to seed questions, which are then answered by the business owner. This helps a user understand your business better, saves them time, and so is more likely to contact your business.
