If you have a US-based Google Business Profile, you may see a "Check insurance info" link below your business hours. When you click on the link, it will take you to a page called "Insurance information" that shows the health insurance networks that your business accepts.

"Check insurance" info automatically shows up when any of the following supply insurance information:

  • You or your business
  • Organizations that manage your Business Profile
  • Third parties
  • Public data sources

Things to remember about insurance information on your Google Business Profile

You can only choose insurance providers that are already listed on Google, either by the companies themselves or by insurance information suppliers. It's not possible to manually add any other insurance providers. Output Language Code: EN-US

Insurance information can be updated frequently. If we receive newer information from insurers and other sources, Google may review and remove previous edits. This applies to all edits made on our platform and is done to ensure accuracy.

Update information with insurers

If you want to ensure that your information is up-to-date and correct, you can consider connecting directly with health insurers or public healthcare provider databases.

Remove the check insurance link

If you remove all the insurance networks from your Business Profile, “Check insurance info” no longer appears.

Even if you remove insurer information, it may re-appear if updated by any of the following 3rd party data providers

  • Health insurers
  • Aggregated data providers
  • Organizations that manage your Business Profile
  • Authorized Business Profile users for your business

Understand insurance providers sources

The sources for insurance providers include, but aren't limited to, the following:

  • California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
  • New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
  • Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Google states that this insurance provider list is subject to change. This article will be updated as changes take place.
