The Challenge

Local listings and advertising solution dbaPlatform offers a wide range of integrated features, enabling brands, agencies, and platforms to excel in local search and efficiently enhance customer acquisition. In the ever-evolving automotive industry, the company’s vehicle dealer partners faced a twofold challenge: grappling with supply chain issues while contending with the impact of rising inflation. As a result, vehicle inventory levels surged, posing a substantial hurdle for dealerships.

The Approach

To alleviate inventory pressures, drive more qualified leads, and maintain selling margins, dbaPlatform looked to Performance Max with Vehicle Feed. It implemented a comprehensive testing framework and educated clients on the solution’s benefits. The company launched new campaigns, using its industry and ads expertise and Google best practices, including a rich assortment of assets and audience signals. The testing framework included a side-by-side test running concurrently with traditional vehicle ads.

The Results

After the ramp-up period, dbaPlatform’s clients saw positive results on KPIs within days. Performance Max with Vehicle Feed campaigns delivered an average 19% cost-per-conversion decrease over traditional Smart Shopping vehicle ads. Additionally, clients in the dbaPlatform-led Google pilot saw 22% site traffic increase and 32% decrease in cost-per-click, on average. Based on these results, dbaPlatform has begun offering Performance Max with Vehicle Feed to the rest of its dealer partners.
